To Hell with "Hell "?


Please join us Saturday, June 4, for a thoughtful and highly informative discussion of Rob Bell's latest book, Love Wins. The symposium features plenary speakers, covering topics such as the contemporary understanding of hell, the emergent church, Rob Bell's appeal, and five views of salvation. The keynote speaker will do a responsible deconstruction of Love Wins. More details are available on the informational flier (click here).

Registration by May 27 is encouraged.



Junior and Senior High Youth Group: Service Project

Every Year, the Salvation Army distributes hundreds of thousands of pounds of food to the Beaver County Area (Click to see stats in 2008). There are so many households that benefit from from this ministry. Conway's Sr. and Jr. High youth groups will be assisting the Salvation Army get the food from point A to point B.

Who: Jr. and Sr. High Youth Group
When: Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011
Where: Beaver Falls Middle School
What: Give a hand to the Salvation Army and help run a food drive.
Time: 9-12:30 Meet at the church at 8:15 a.m.


The Annual Hanging of the Greens

Please join us for this enjoyable Conway tradition. This is the opportunity to join in for a community church decoration. Its a great way to set the mood for the christmas season! You might even pick up some decoration ideas for your own house. When: Sunday, November 21, 2010 What: Decorating our church for Christmas Time: Immediately following the worship service. Please plan to join us!


Third Annual Rotten Pumpkin Festival

Bring your friends, the family, a pumpkin, and some carving tools to this festive fall event Sunday, October 10th . The church will provide the hot dogs, hot chocolate, and caramel apples.
Please contact us if you would like volunteer to bring your favorite fall dessert to share! Please bring lawn chairs!

Second Annual Conway Alliance Church Car Cruise

Bring the entire family to the second annual Conway Alliance Church Car Cruise. DJ Jim Merkel will be playing oldies music for you to enjoy while walking through the collection of hot rods, muscle cars, and antique cars. Food booths will be selling food and drinks, and there will be activities for the children. Please contact us for more information.

Middle School Youth Group Christmas in December

Come out for our winter send off/white elephant grab bag that will be in place of our regular youth group Tuesday, December 15, 7 p.m. We will be watching a Christmas movie and drinking hot cocoa, so bring a friend!

If you wish to particpate in the white elephant gift exchange, please bring a wrapped gift that is less than $5.

Sr. High Youth Group Christmas Shindig

The senior high youth will be ice skating at the rink at PPG Place to be followed with dinner Sunday, December 13, 3–8:30 p.m.

Girls' Night In

The ladies of the Thursday night Bible study are inviting all college-aged girls to Girls' Night In, Sunday, November 1, at 6 p.m. Meet at the Friendship House for food, a movie (chick flick), and fellowship.

LIFE Fundraiser Luncheon

Youth who are attending LIFE will host a luncheon Sunday, November 1, following the worship service. Soup, salad, and bread will be served. The minimum suggested donation is $3 for children 12 and under and $5 for adults 13 and over.

Halloween Lock-in & Costume Party

Middle school youth (grades 6–8) are dared to be locked in the church with Mark and Christian for a night of food (pizza) and fun (watching old black and white holiday films and playing video games). Remember to come dressed up!

Date/Time: Begins at 7 p.m., October 30, and ends at 9 a.m., October 31.

Cost: $7 (pay at the door) and a bottle of pop or bag of chips to share.

Suncrest Masquerade

Participate in tons of fun and games as well as a costume contest for senior high youth (grades 8–12). Enjoy flag football, bonfires, and rootbeer kegs. Game and costume prizes will be awarded. Ryan Paskey is the featured speaker.

Rotten Pumpkin Festival—Back by popular demand!

Bring your friends, the family, a pumpkin, and some carving tools to this festive fall event Sunday, October 11. Enjoy hot dogs, caramel apples, fall desserts, hot chocolate, and apple cider as you sit by the bonfire. Please bring lawn chairs.

Carving starts at 5 p.m., and food will be served at 5:30 p.m.


Pittsburgh Project—"One Day Plunge"

Youth in grades 6–12 can take the plunge by volunteering one day of service to help the needy in Pittsburgh. Participate in a team . . . make a difference.

Date/Time: October 3. Leave the church at 7:30 a.m. and return by 6:15 p.m.

Cost: $25, make checks payable to Conway Alliance Church.

Casual Sunday

Invite your friends to the sixth semi-annual Casual Sunday on September 6. Be sure to dress casually (shorts and T-shirts) for the morning service (10:45 a.m.) to be followed immediately (12:30 p.m.) with a cookout and an afternoon (1:30–4 p.m.) of volleyball, basketball, hockey, frisbee, lawn games, and music. Bring your lawn chairs and a blanket back at 9 p.m. for a movie on the lawn.

Friends eat for FREE!

Cost for members: $3 per person up to a maximum of $12 for families with five members or more.


Back to School

Members of Conway Alliance Church are planning to give out notebooks, pencils, pens, and erasers for Back-to-School Days at Giant Eagle Saturday, August 22, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Children's Trip to the National Aviary

Children can explore the wonders of God's creation and see the new penguins at the National Aviary as we visit Wednesday, August 19.

  • The trip costs $10.
  • Meet at the church at 9 a.m. and plan to return at 3 p.m.
  • Each child should bring a sack lunch.

Conway Alliance Car Cruise

Bring the entire family Sunday, August 16, 3–8 p.m., to the first annual Conway Alliance Car Cruise. Enjoy listening to oldies music while checking out hot rods, muscle cars, and antique cars. Food booths will be selling food and drinks with proceeds benefiting Youth for Life and the Missions Committee Outreach. Please contact us for more information.
